Benefits of Patent Registration

A granted patent gives the patentee the exclusive right to prevent others from making, using, selling or importing the patented invention in India (Section 48, Patents Act, 1970), for a term of up to 20 years from the filing date, subject to payment of renewal fees.
Filing a provisional or complete application secures an early priority date for your invention, which matters when others file for similar inventions later.
A patent is an intellectual-property asset that can be licensed, assigned, or used to attract investment — adding value to your startup or business.
Filing creates a formal application number before the Indian Patent Office, and the application is later published in the Patent Office Journal, documenting the invention, its inventors, and its applicant.
No. A patent is granted only after publication, a request for examination, the First Examination Report (FER), replies, possible hearings, and pre-grant or post-grant opposition proceedings at the Indian Patent Office. Neither the Platform nor the Lawyer can guarantee registration or a fixed timeline.
